Gold Star Race Program

What is the goal of the Gold Star Race Program?

The goal of the Gold Star Race Program is to provide healing and support for Gold Star and Surviving family members through the power of running. At wear blue, we believe in the transformative impact of community and physical activity. This program helps family members tap into their own reservoirs of courage, determination, and hope, while honoring both their personal journey and their fallen loved ones. Together, we thrive as a running community and celebrate their resilience.

"The Gold Star Race Program was an incredible experience from start to finish. Every step was meaningful from the first week of training to crossing the marathon finish line. Experiencing the wear blue Mile was deeply moving, and the friendships and support I found in the wear blue family have been lifelong. They’ve helped me manage my grief and pushed me to achieve fitness goals I never thought possible. Completing a marathon with their encouragement has been a life-changing journey."
